Haïti: Promouvoir  l’économie Sociale et Solidaire et investir dans l’entrepreneuriat Social pour combattre la pauvreté

Haïti, officiellement la République d'Haïti, est un pays des Grandes Antilles occupant le tiers occidental de l'île d'Hispaniola (soit 28 000 km² environ). Sa capitale est  Port-au-Prince. Haïti avoisine 10 millions d’habitants. Perle des Antilles avant de combattre les français qui occupaient cette Ile. Haïti devint en 1804 la première république indépendante de population majoritairement noire après la Révolution haïtienne (1791-1803) qui conduisit l'armée de Napoléon Bonaparte à abandonner l'île. Haïti est aussi le seul pays francophone indépendant des Caraïbes.

Cependant, aujourd’hui, Haïti demeure l’un des pays les plus pauvres et les plus inégalitaires d’Amérique latine. Huit ans après les séismes dévastateurs du 12 Janvier 2010 faisant plus de 300 mille morts et des dommages considérables, la pauvreté est toujours élevée, et ce particulièrement dans les zones rurales. La disparité économique est élevé: 63% de la richesse du pays est entre les mains des plus riches 20% de la population, tandis que les plus pauvres, 40% de la population, ont accès à seulement 9% de la richesse. 40% de la population souffre d'insécurité alimentaire.  Haïti a le plus fort indice de risque de catastrophes naturelles dans le monde. Haïti a la plus forte densité de population dans la région (soit 353 personnes au km2).

A ce constat, et dans le but de promouvoir l’économie Sociale et Solidaire et d’investir dans l’entrepreneuriat Social afin de combattre la pauvreté  et de trouver des solutions appropriées et adaptées à la réalité actuelle du pays, la Fondation Jeunesse et Perspective (FJP) et Global Communication & Services, deux institutions légalement reconnu par l’Etat, dirigées par Philogene Bernadin, membre de Future Team Haïti, en collaboration avec : l’Eglise Baptiste Armée du Christ de Morne-Rouge(EBAC), Fondation Liberté(FL),Youth for Social and Democracy(YUSD), Future Team Haïti(FTH), Les Amis des Personnes Agées et Handicapées (APAH), Livre Ouvert Solution Académie (LOSA), Bambou Facile, Centre d’Innovation et Technologie et d’Entreprenariat (CITE) ont organisé en date du  11 au 18 Novembre 2018, le premier Forum de l’Economie Sociale et Solidaire (FES2018) en Haïti sous le thème: «Economie sociale et solidaire (ESS) et entreprenariat social en Haïti. Ce forum été déroulé dans la région Nord d’Haïti, précisément à la Plaine du Nord, dans la zone de Morne-Rouge.

Ce forum a permis de lancer un débat public sur le rôle de l’économie sociale et solidaire dans la construction d’une citoyenneté inclusive et d’un développement économique durable en Haïti. L’un des objectifs du forum est de promouvoir  l’économie sociale et solidaire en Haïti et d’encourager l’entreprenariat social comme alternative à la résolution des problèmes sociaux des groupes vulnérables et aussi d’apporter une réponse à l’économie classique et  en favorisant l’activité économique et l’utilité sociale en même temps.

A vocation régionale, ce forum était ouvert à tous, il était avant tout un lieu d'échange et de partage réunissant des leaders communautaires, des religieux, des étudiants, des chercheurs ainsi que des personnes venues des localités avoisinantes de la Plaine-du-Nord.  

Au programme, les participants avaient eu  la possibilité d'échanger avec des panelistes évoluant dans le domaine d’entrepreneuriat, des chefs d’entreprises et réseaux de l’économie sociale et solidaire.

Le programme  était structuré autour de conférence-débats, d’ateliers, d’animations, etc. et les thématiques suivants ont été abordées :

·         ESS, voie originale de développement en Haïti

·         Coopératives et Développement communautaire

·         Une économie solidaire inclusive et engagée

·         ESS et Entrepreneuriat pour la transformation socio-économique d’Haïti.

·         Finances solidaires et développement communautaire

·         Innovation sociale et développement

·         Innovation et entrepreneuriat Social (Atelier)

·         Mise en Place d’une Coopérative (atelier)

Plus de 500 participants ont pris part à cet espace de discussion, dédié à la promotion  de l'économie sociale et solidaire et de l'entreprenariat social en Haïti.

En autre, le Centre d’Innovation et de Technologie et d’Entrepreneuriat (CITE) avait amené au sein du forum, le « Global Entrepreneurship Week Haiti » qui est une célébration des innovateurs qui atteint des millions de personnes à travers des événements et des activités locales, nationales et mondiales.

Cette année, plus de 39 000 événements etaient prévus dans 170 pays différents. Ici, en Haïti, le Global Entrepreneurship Week etait célébré pour la première fois du 12 au 18 novembre 2018 .Durant la période de Global Entrepreurship  Week il y avait comme activités : formations, Atelier de démarrage, Networking, Exposition des startups. En ce qui concerne les formations, elles se baseront sur les techniques de Plan d’affaires, Opportunités de marché, le rôle de financement dans un écosystème Entrepreneurial etc.

A la fin de l’évènement  l’initiative de mettre sur pied une caisse d’Epargne et de Crédit  ait été prise avec tous les acteurs participants au programme. Un petit fonds ait été collecté entre eux constituant de « fonds de démarrage ». Ce qui permettra de financer des initiatives entrepreneuriales sociales de petite échelle. Cette caisse d’épargne fonctionnera sous forme d’une Banque populaire.

Apres huit(8) jours d’activités, l'heure de la clôture était venue, des certificats ont été remis aux participants pour leur participation active au forum. Spécialement, l'équipe, y compris les parties prenantes et les bénévoles, ont également été reconnue pour ses efforts extrêmes pour faire de ce forum, un programme efficace et tous ont reçu un certificat d'appréciation.

Et nous avons  profité pour remercier tous les participants venus de partout .Notre profonde gratitude va : au soutien local, et bien sûr à la Fondation Jeunesse et Perspectives, Global communication & Services, L’Eglise Baptiste Armée du Christ de Morne-Rouge, CITE, Kasannou, APAH, Bambou Facile, YUSD, LOSA, impression Lakay, etc. pour avoir rendu possible ce forum atelier.

Haiti: Promoting the Social and Solidarity Economy and Investing in Social Entrepreneurship to fight against poverty.

Haiti, officially the Republic of Haiti, is a country in the Greater Antilles occupying the western third of the island of Hispaniola (about 28 000 km2). Its capital is Port-au-Prince. In this regard, and with the aim of promoting the social and solidarity economy and investing in social entrepreneurship to fight poverty and find appropriate solutions adapted to the current reality of the country, the Youth Foundation and Perspective (FJP) and Global Communication & Services, two institutions legally recognized by the State, led by Philogene Bernadin, member of Future Team Haiti, in collaboration with: The Church Baptist Church of Christ of Morne-Rouge (EBAC), Freedom Foundation (FL), Youth for Social and Democracy (YUSD), Haiti Future Team (FTH), Friends of the Elderly and Disabled (APAH), Open Source Solution Academy (LOSA), Easy Bamboo, Center for Innovation and Technology, and Entrepreneurship (CITE) organized on November 11th to 18th, 2018, the first Forum of the Social and Solidarity Economy (FES2018) in Haiti under the theme: "Social and solidarity economy (ESS) and social entrepreneurship in Haiti. This forum was held in the northern region of Haiti, precisely the North Plain, in the area of ​​Morne-Rouge.

 This forum has launched a public debate on the role of the social and solidarity economy in building inclusive citizenship and sustainable economic development in Haiti. One of the objectives of the forum is to promote the social and solidarity economy in Haiti and to encourage social entrepreneurship as an alternative to solving the social problems of vulnerable groups and also to provide a response to the classical economy and by promoting economic activity and social utility at the same time.

With a regional vocation, this forum was open to all, it was above all a place of exchange and sharing bringing together community leaders, religious, students, researchers as well as people from neighboring communities of the North Plain.

On the program, participants had the opportunity to interact with panelists working in the field of entrepreneurship, business leaders and networks of the social and solidarity economy.

 

The program was structured around conference-debates, workshops, animations, etc. and the following topics were discussed:

• ESS, original way of development in Haiti

• Cooperatives and Community Development

• An inclusive and committed solidarity economy

• ESS and Entrepreneurship for the socio-economic transformation of Haiti.

• Solidarity finance and community development

• Social innovation and development

• Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (Workshop)

• Establishment of a Cooperative (workshop)

More than 500 participants took part in this space of discussion, dedicated to the promotion of the social and solidarity economy and the social entrepreneurship in Haiti.

 

In addition, the Center for Innovation and Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE) brought to the forum, the "Global Entrepreneurship Week Haiti" which is a celebration of innovators that reaches millions of people through events and projects. Local, national and global activities.

This year, more than 39,000 events were planned in 170 different countries. Here in Haiti, Global Entrepreneurship Week was celebrated for the first time from 12 to 18 November 2018. During the period of Global Entrepreurship Week there were activities such as: Training, Start-up Workshop, Networking, and Exhibition of Startups. In terms of training, they will be based on the techniques of Business Plan, Market Opportunities, the role of financing in an Entrepreneurial ecosystem etc.

 

At the end of the event, the initiative to set up a Savings and Credit Fund was taken with all the participants in the program. A small fund was collected among them constituting "seed money". This will help fund small-scale social entrepreneurial initiatives. This savings bank will operate in the form of a People's Bank.

After eight (8) days of activities, the closing time had come, certificates were given to participants for their active participation in the forum. Specifically, the team, including stakeholders and volunteers, were also recognized for their extreme efforts to make this forum an effective program and all received a certificate of appreciation.

And we took the opportunity to thank all the participants from all over.
